The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in accounting principles and practices, with expertise in QuickBooks Online and or QuickBooks Desktop accounting software. This role requires a proactive individual who can handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy. Duties Manage all aspects of the general ledger for assigned clients, including journal entries, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll and reconciliations. Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations and account analysis to identify discrepancies. Oversee budgeting processes and assist in financial forecasting for clients. Handle payroll tax payments, payroll quarterly tax report filings, W-2 Forms, 1099 Forms, and ensure timely compliance with federal and state regulations. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions using QBO, QBD or similar accounting software. Collaborate with external auditors during annual audits and provide necessary documentation for clients. Support corporate functions as needed, assisting Accounting Manager with special projects. Requirements Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role in accounting and or bookkeeping in corporate accounting environments. Strong knowledge of double entry bookkeeping principles and practices. Proficiency in Quickbooks or other accounting software is highly desirable. Experience with tax preparation and compliance is preferred. Excellent analytical skills with the ability to perform account analysis effectively. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to ensure accuracy in financial reporting. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, managing multiple priorities effectively. A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred but not required based on experience. Written & verbal communication with clients This position offers an opportunity to contribute significantly to our financial operations while working in a dynamic environment. We are a high volume bookkeeping firm. We are a small group of 7. There is a lot of variety of accounts we work with. We have required overtime in January, this is paid at your overtime rate. Expected overtime is minimum 10 hour per week in January. There is an opportunity in future to work from home on occasion and or depending on the progress that is made there is an opportunity to work off site at a client's office or home office. This will be determined by the Accounting Manager as performance milestones are met. We believe in on going training to stay up on the current laws, rules and trends.
