Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will manage and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and supporting the organization's financial health. Your expertise will help streamline bookkeeping processes, prepare financial reports, and facilitate smooth financial operations across various departments. Responsibilities Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions efficiently and accurately Prepare journal entries, including debits & credits, for various financial activities in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to verify account balances Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental accounting requirements as needed Support budgeting efforts by analyzing financial data and preparing detailed reports for management Requirements Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, preferably within corporate or non-profit sectors Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms Strong understanding of financial concepts including double entry bookkeeping, account analysis, and general ledger reconciliation Knowledge of GAAP standards and experience with governmental accounting is a plus Ability to perform bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail; capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently Familiarity with technical accounting practices such as journal entries, account analysis, and financial report writing Strong communication skills suitable for collaborating across teams and preparing clear financial documentation Join us to be part of a vibrant organization that values precision, transparency, and proactive financial management.
