Work takes place at our beautiful Santa Barbara office, but some days can be remote.

Essential Job Functions As our Full Charge Bookkeeper, you will lead our day-to-day financial workflows, maintaining the internal controls and transparency that drive our mission forward. Your core focus areas will include:

• Managing day-to-day A/P, A/R, deposits, reconciliations, and general ledger entries.
• Preparing monthly financial reports, including income statements and actual-to-budget analyses.
• Processing payroll and maintaining accurate records in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Partnering with leadership, Treasurer, committees, and outside auditors for budget & audit prep.
• Translating financial information into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders and leadership. What You'll Bring

Accounting Expertise:

Collegiate-level knowledge of accounting principles (a degree or coursework in accounting/finance is preferred).

Proven Track Record:

Solid experience in bookkeeping or comparable accounting roles. Experience with nonprofit fund accounting is a major plus!

Tech Savvy:

Strong proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

Core Strengths:

Attention to detail, reliability, discretion, and the ability to work independently.
