In this vital role, you will manage and maintain accurate financial records, ensuring the integrity of our accounting processes across various platforms. Your expertise will support our organization's financial health, compliance with accounting standards, and smooth day-to-day operations. Responsibilities Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger accounting to maintain accurate financial records. Prepare journal entries, conduct account analysis, and reconcile balance sheets in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage, and other financial systems to record transactions accurately. Support payroll processing activities and ensure compliance with tax regulations and governmental accounting standards. Assist with budgeting processes and generate detailed financial reports to inform decision-making. Conduct account reconciliation tasks regularly, including account analysis and general ledger reconciliation, to uphold data integrity. Qualifications Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role with a strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles. Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks (including QuickBooks Online), Xero, Sage, and other financial systems. Solid knowledge of GAAP standards, governmental accounting practices, and non-profit accounting is preferred. Demonstrated ability to perform bank reconciliations, account analysis, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliation accurately. Strong skills in spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets), 10-key typing, and data entry for efficient account management. Experience with payroll processing, tax filings, and government reporting requirements is highly desirable. Excellent attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills; ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining accuracy in all work.
