President / CEO Position Summary Dumpster Today is seeking an experienced, organized, and detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to support the company's accounting, payroll, human resources administration, insurance programs, and regulatory compliance. This position is responsible for maintaining accurate financial and employee records, monitoring company expenses, coordinating recurring reporting and compliance requirements, and providing financial and administrative support to company leadership. The ideal candidate is proactive, dependable, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality. Key Responsibilities Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, billing, payments, deposits, and general ledger entries. Reconcile bank accounts, company credit cards, vendor accounts, and payment processor activity. Prepare recurring financial reports, including cash-flow summaries, A/R aging, expense reports, payroll summaries, and monthly financial reports. Coordinate payroll processing and verify employee wages, taxes, deductions, benefits, and payroll records. Monitor and consolidate operating expenses, including fuel, landfill costs, tolls, supplies, fleet expenses, and employee expense reports. Monitor payment processing activity, chargebacks, compliance requirements, and potentially fraudulent or unusual transactions. Support annual financial reporting, tax preparation, business registrations, licenses, permits, annual reports, and other government compliance requirements. Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and coordinate onboarding, offboarding, employment documentation, PTO tracking, and HR compliance. Administer employee benefit programs, including healthcare enrollment and 401(k) eligibility, enrollment, contributions, and account changes. Coordinate company insurance programs, including commercial auto, general liability, property, and workers' compensation. Maintain schedules and records for insurance renewals, claims, audits, certificates of insurance, government filings, permits, and compliance deadlines. Support franchise royalty reporting, vendor management, W-9 and 1099 tracking, and internal or external audits. Assist leadership with financial analysis, cost-reduction initiatives, process improvements, system implementations, and special projects. Maintain organized, accurate, and audit-ready financial, employee, insurance, and compliance records. Qualifications Associate's or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or related financial experience . Experience with payroll, employee benefits, HR administration, insurance, or regulatory compliance strongly preferred. Proficiency with QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel. Working knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, financial reporting, account reconciliation, and expense management. Experience with payroll systems, HRIS platforms, and payment processing systems preferred. Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies, unusual activity, and potential financial risks. Excellent organizational, time-management, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently, manage multiple deadlines, and collaborate across departments and company locations. High level of professionalism, accountability, discretion, and confidentiality. Work Environment This is a full-time, in-person position located at the Dumpster Today Corporate Headquarters in Anderson, South Carolina. The Accounting Specialist will work closely with company leadership, corporate departments, branch managers, franchise locations, vendors, insurance providers, and external accounting professionals. Employment may be contingent upon successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
Pay:
$25.00 - $30.00 per hour
