Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will support the organization's financial operations by managing accounting processes, ensuring accuracy in financial data, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. Your expertise will help streamline accounting workflows, facilitate timely reporting, and uphold the integrity of our financial records. Responsibilities:
Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable management, ensuring timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections. Reconcile general ledger accounts and balance sheet accounts through detailed account analysis and account reconciliation procedures. Process vendor invoices, validate purchase orders, match supporting documents, prepare payments, and maintain organized records. Generate customer invoices, apply payments, reconcile accounts, and follow up on outstanding balances. reate, review, and track purchase orders to ensure proper authorization and compliance. Prepare journal entries, conduct month-end closing activities, and support balance sheet reconciliation efforts. Support payroll management using systems like ADP, while ensuring compliance with payroll regulations. Communicate with suppliers and customers to resolve discrepancies, validate information, and ensure timely processing of transactions.
Administrative Support:
Maintain files, update databases, prepare reports, and assist with general office operations. Qualifications Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with familiarity in corporate accounting practices; governmental accounting experience is a plus. Strong knowledge of accounting software Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel is essential Excellent numeracy skills with a strong understanding of debits & credits, general ledger accounting, and financial concepts. Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially while maintaining high levels of accuracy in data entry and account analysis. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail; ability to prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication skills combined with customer service orientation to collaborate across teams effectively.
