Job Description
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join our growing insurance company in Moncks Corner, SC. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with strongexperience who enjoys working in a collaborative office environment. While insurance industry experience is not required , candidates with prior insurance experience are strongly preferred. Responsibilities Process a high volume of vendor invoices accurately and efficiently. Match invoices with purchase orders and obtain appropriate approvals. Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments (ACH). Reconcile vendor statements and resolve invoice discrepancies. Maintain accurate accounts payable records and vendor files. Assist with month-end closing and account reconciliations. Communicate professionally with vendors regarding payment status and account questions. Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and procedures. Provide administrative support to the accounting department as needed. Required Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of Accounts Payable experience . Strong knowledge of accounting principles and accounts payable processes. Excellent organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office. Strong written and verbal communication skills. High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience working in the insurance industry is highly preferred but not required. Experience in a fast-paced office environment. Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or related field is a plus.
