Billing Accounts Receivable Representative

Berkeley Family Practice is seeking a Billing Accounts Receivable Representative to provide daily activities in the billing department. We strive to support team players.
JOB FUNCTION FOR ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLES
Knowable and ability to speak with patients in person or via phone regarding their account Knowledge of insurance and payer requirements for timely adjudication of claims: Analyze accounts receivable with performing necessary follow-up Accurately enters/updates patient information in EMR Interpreting medical insurance claims/contact payers as needed.
Preparing and Submitting Claims:
Compiling coded patient data and demographics into official claim formats to send electronically or via paper to insurance collecting patient responsibility balances from insured patients and self-pay patients Initiate the review/appeals process on disputed claims. Monitors, review reports to collects accounts receivables Monitor and review schedules with notes and notification for appropriate payments Provide supervisor with weekly issues that are hindering collections Monitor calls and answer appropriately Sending out weekly patient statements Reviewing patient accounts for appropriate balance before sending out statements Review patient accounts that are eligible to be sent to collection agency Creating and printing patient statements Post patient payments Analyze accounts receivable with performing necessary follow-up Accepts electronic payment Accepts credit card payment Ability to update patient demographics and insurance information
QUALIFICATIONS EMR
(prefer eClinical Works)
Medical Billing/AR:
1-year experience Experience in interpreting
EOB's:
1-year experience Knowledge of CPT and ICD10 Ability to work as a
