Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Bookkeeper to support the daily accounting operations of an organization in Spartanburg, SC. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes, performing account reconciliations, and assisting with month-end close and financial reporting activities. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and comfortable managing both transactional accounting and higher-level accounting responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Manage full-cycle accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.

Prepare and post journal entries and perform account reconciliations.

Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.

Maintain accurate financial records and support financial statement preparation.

Process payroll and assist with tax filings and regulatory reporting.

Monitor cash flow and resolve accounting discrepancies.

Prepare reports and schedules for management, auditors, and external partners.

Support budgeting, forecasting, and special projects as needed.

Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting procedures.

Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.
