Bookkeeper Share link Go back Apply for this job Category Classified Location(s) Keowee Elementary School Description Prepares, analyzes & reconciles financial accounting reports & data for the review of the principal and/or his/her designee. Performs computer data entry to record, update & retrieve financial information and to prepare spreadsheets, reports & correspondence. Responsibilities Processes a variety of forms & reports to ensure proper & complete accountability of funds; examines & checks documents for conformity with District policies & federal & state laws & regulations; performs general bookkeeping duties which may include coding invoices for payment; processing purchase orders; reconciling vendor statements; maintaining check registers; maintaining multiple accounts; receiving, posting & depositing cash receipts; provides necessary records for & assists with scheduled audits.
Experience/Qualifications Minimum education:
high school diploma (associate degree in business/accounting preferred). Minimum of two years experience in bookkeeping required. Experience in a school setting preferred. Must possess good secretarial skills including proficiency in basic office procedures, experience in Microsoft Office programs, and working knowledge of the operation of common office equipment. Must have the ability to prioritize tasks and work independently. Must be able to meet the public and handle any unexpected situation that may occur in a calm, intelligent manner. Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills. Must possess good telephone voice/manners. Interpersonal skills are vital to the position. Salary Range Hourly range $18.03-$26.30 7.5 hours per day 225 days per year
