Responsibilities may include:
1. Time Tracking and Billing Time tracking software to record billable hours for each employee. Hourly rate records for each employee or position. Project tracking to assign hours worked to specific projects or clients. Invoicing system to generate client bills based on recorded hours. Overtime tracking for employees working over standard hours. 2. Payroll Management Employee payroll software to handle wages, including: Regular hourly rates. Overtime rates (if applicable). Bonuses or incentives. Tax withholdings and deductions (e.g., federal, state, and local taxes). Employee benefits accounting (e.g., health insurance, retirement plans). 3. Revenue and Expense Tracking Revenue tracking to monitor income from hourly billing.
Expense tracking for:
Equipment and tools. Vehicles and fuel (for fieldwork). Office rent and utilities. Software subscriptions. Professional licenses and certifications. 4. Employee-Related Costs Employee training and development costs (e.g., certifications, workshops). Travel expenses for fieldwork. Uniforms or safety gear costs. Workers' compensation and liability insurance. 5. Accounting and Financial Reporting Chart of accounts to categorize revenues and expenses. Accounts receivable tracking for unpaid invoices. Accounts payable tracking for company expenses. Profit and loss (P&L) statements for project profitability. Budgeting tools to manage operational costs. 6.
