Job Description

Wood Personnel Services is partnering with a manufacturing company in Smyrna, TN to hire an AP/AR Specialist. This position is responsible for supporting both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, helping ensure accurate financial transactions, timely collections, and efficient vendor payments. AP Specialist Compensation & Benefits:
$23.00-$25.00/hour DOEMonday-Friday, 7:30 AM-4:30 PMFirst-shift scheduleBenefits package availableAP /
AP Specialist Duties and Responsibilities:
Process vendor invoices from receipt through paymentReview, code, and enter invoices into the accounting systemInvestigate and resolve invoice and purchase order discrepanciesGenerate customer invoices and post customer paymentsProcess ACH, credit card, lockbox, and check paymentsPerform customer credit checks and establish payment termsMonitor and follow up on outstanding customer balancesCommunicate with customers regarding payment status and account inquiriesMaintain accurate financial records and support general ledger accuracyAssist with day-to-day accounting activities and administrative functions as neededAP /
AP Specialist Skills and Qualifications:
3+ years of accounting experience in a manufacturing or distribution environmentExperience handling both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable responsibilitiesIntermediate Microsoft Office skills, including ExcelERP system experience preferredStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environmentDependable attendance and professional communication skills Apply today to be considered for this AP/AR Specialist opportunity in Smyrna.
