About us LPS Equipment & Acquisition Co is North America's LARGEST Sawmill, Pallet & Wood Industry Equipment Dealer! Associated Auction is the only company providing zero risk options and years of experience. LPS Equipment & Acquisition and Associated Auction is looking for a hard-working and dedicated employee to join our team. Accounting Assistant The Accounting Assistant will have knowledge of insurance policies pertaining to businesses. You will keep up with everything that is bought and sold within the companies and provide that information to the insurance company. The ideal candidate will also provide support to the accountant and other staff members.
Duties include:
Using Auction accounting software to invoice and create financial statements Following up on outstanding Invoices and setting up payments Answering phones Communicate effectively with Drivers to ensure they hand in all paperwork Following up on tasks and emails with a sense of urgency as needed Understanding commercial insurance, i.e. COI's, Policy documents, Premiums and tracking changes Strong Organizational skills Working with the company insurance policies for properties, vehicles and semi-trucks. Making sure all coverage is updated consistently. Issuing titles, filing paperwork, assisting with truck driver's paperwork, and assisting the accountant. Being detail oriented. Work independently. Having a positive attitude, working well with others, and persevering Work overtime when the workload deems necessary.
Qualification Requirements:
2 years of office experience including knowledge of insurance High School diploma (Associate's degree preferred) Attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly Must have a strong work ethic Work environment:
  • Sitting at a desk for extended periods
