This role focuses on following up on outstanding accounts to ensure we are getting accurate and timely payments from insurance and patients.

Daily Responsibilities:

Working AR aging reports (30, 60, 90+ day accounts) Following up with insurance on unpaid, denied, or underpaid claims Reviewing EOBs and taking the next steps (appeals, corrections, rebilling, etc.) Submitting corrected claims and appeals Posting payments, adjustments, and denials Reaching out to patients about balances when needed Keeping clear notes on all account activity

Denial Management:

Looking into why claims were denied (coding, eligibility, auths, etc.) Fixing and resubmitting claims Tracking trends and flagging repeat issues Working with the front office and clinical team to help prevent future issues

Performance Expectations:

Keeping AR within target ranges Meeting daily/weekly productivity goals Reducing older accounts (especially 90+ days) Staying on top of timely filing deadlines Helping maintain a strong clean-claim rate

Systems/Tools:

PM system and/or EHR Insurance portals (Medicare, Medicaid, commercial) Clearinghouses

Work Environment:

Requires strong attention to detail and ability to multitask Frequent communication with insurance representatives and patients.
