Overview Join our dynamic finance team as an Accounts Payable Clerk, where your expertise will drive the smooth processing of our company's financial obligations. In this vital role, you will manage the full cycle of accounts payable functions, ensuring timely and accurate payments while maintaining compliance with accounting standards and internal controls. Your attention to detail and strong understanding of financial systems will support our commitment to operational excellence and fiscal integrity. Responsibilities Process and verify invoices, and purchase orders with precision, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies. Enter data into accounting software such as QuickBooks Online, maintaining meticulous records of all transactions. Reconcile vendor statements and perform account analysis to resolve discrepancies efficiently. Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and general ledger accounting to uphold financial accuracy. Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), and governmental accounting standards. Handle confidential information responsibly while providing excellent customer service to vendors. Requirements Proven experience in accounts payable. Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, familiarity with financial systems like Microsoft Office Suite (Excel data analysis) is essential. Knowledge of technical accounting concepts including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, journal entries, and account reconciliation. Experience with financial concepts such as budgeting, credit analysis, and account analysis is highly desirable. Excellent numeracy skills along with the ability to perform 10-key typing quickly and accurately. Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly while demonstrating strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 per week
