About Flying Eyes Flying Eyes creates luxury eyewear for pilots, motorcycle riders, motorsports enthusiasts, and anyone who regularly wears a helmet or headset. Our patented frames are engineered to fit comfortably under helmets and headsets, and we sell worldwide through our website, our dealer network, and in person at aviation and motorsport events. We are a small, fast paced team that values excellent service, clear communication, and attention to detail. The Role You own the day to day books: money in, money out, and an accurate, reconciled picture of where the company stands. You work directly with our accounting team and leadership, handling everything from daily transaction entry to the weekly and monthly reports leadership uses to make decisions. One person owns this full set of books, so we are looking for someone who works independently, flags issues early, and takes pride in getting the details right. What You Will Do AP, AR, and Payroll Maintain the books in QuickBooks, including daily transaction entry Manage accounts payable and receivable, including B2B customer and vendor invoicing Process vendor bills and payments through our corporate card and expense platform Process monthly brand ambassador commission and sponsorship payments against an approved commission sheet Support payroll processing and file payroll tax returns and reports Reporting and Reconciliation Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and corporate card activity Build and maintain a weekly cash flow report in Excel, tied to QuickBooks data Run a weekly bill review with leadership to confirm what is due and ready to pay Prepare monthly financial reports and support month end close Produce ad hoc reports from QuickBooks as requested Assist with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and audit readiness Inventory Accounting This role does not run our inventory management system and does not manage warehouse operations. It owns the accounting side of inventory: Reconcile inventory valuation and COGS in our accounting systems Verify cycle counts and full physical inventory counts, and resolve variances in the books Pull inventory and order data from our inventory and ecommerce systems to support reporting and close Required Proficiency with QuickBooks and ownership of a full set of small business books (AP, AR, reconciliation) Advanced Excel (VLOOKUP/INDEX-MATCH, pivot tables) and comfort building and maintaining recurring reports Experience with a corporate card or expense management platform Comfortable pulling data from ecommerce and inventory management systems, or able to learn new ones quickly Strong attention to detail, well organized, and proactive about raising issues Able to work full time, in office, in Buda, Texas Preferred QuickBooks or bookkeeping certification Familiarity with Texas sales tax and payroll reporting Experience with payroll processing and sales tax filing platforms Experience with cycle count programs and inventory reconciliation How to Apply Send your resume along with a short note on why you are a strong fit for this role.
