Job Description
Accounting Assistants at EBCO General Contractor help keep people, projects and financial operations moving by providing accurate accounting and professional front-office support. This includes answering and routing phone calls, assisting with accounts payable, supporting budgeting and reporting and help maintain the reliable records out teams depend on. We're seeking an upbeat team player with accounting experience and a desire to grow who can represent EBCO positively and professionally to external and internal customers This position is based in

Apply for our Accounting Assistant position with us now, or keep reading for a full description of what we're looking for: Answers, screens and routes incoming phone calls; assists callers and visitors with a professional and helpful attitude. Sorts and routes incoming mail and financial docs, scans or files records and provides general administrative support to keep the office running smoothly. Assists with supplier invoices and subcontractor pay applications, including data entry, coding, supporting documentation, approvals, and applicable sales-tax review. Supports vendor and subcontractor setups and record maintenance by collecting and organizing required documentation, including W9's, certificates of insurance and payment information. Maintains accurate, organized and audit-ready payable records and files including open items and lien-notice tracking schedules. Supports check and electronic-payment processing, maintains complete payment support and distributes payment information as required. Assists with monthly close, account reconciliations, and other routine accounting activities as assigned. Assists with budgeting and reporting by gathering information, maintaining Excel schedules, monitoring actual results and budget, and following up on missing or incomplete data. 3 years of relevant construction industry and/or accounting experience Advanced skills in Excel, Word, and Microsoft Outlook Must be able to perform all duties with minimal supervisionBenefits
