LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing Houston-area organization to identify an experienced Accounts Payable Lead for a fast-moving temp-to-hire opportunity. This position is ideal for a hands-on AP professional who enjoys leading teams, improving processes, and bringing structure to high-volume accounting environments. Responsibilities Serve as the primary support resource to the Accounts Payable Manager and help guide day-to-day AP operations Mentor and develop a team of AP professionals while promoting accountability and best practices Identify process gaps and implement improvements that drive efficiency, accuracy, and timely vendor payments Analyze workflows, resolve escalated invoice and payment issues, and partner with operational teams to improve results Assist with month-end activities, account reconciliations, vendor maintenance, and payment processing Support training initiatives and help establish consistent procedures across the AP function Utilize reporting and data analysis to monitor performance and identify opportunities for improvement Qualifications 7+ years of Accounts Payable experience with progressive responsibility Prior experience leading, mentoring, or supervising AP staff Demonstrated success improving processes, workflows, and operational controls Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, lookups, and data analysis Experience working in high-volume or shared services environments preferred Sage Intacct experience is highly desirable Strong communication skills with the ability to partner effectively across departments Degree preferred but not required Why Consider This Opportunity? Pay Details:
