Position Summary:
The Property Bookkeeper is responsible for the accurate verification and processing of invoices for payment and assisting in other accounting/financial transactions. Exhibits a strong commitment to the service needs of all customers.
Essential Job Functions:
Works closely with the Property General Manager (or Community Manager), Maintenance team and Resident Services team to ensure all accounting functions are handled timely and within company policies, guidelines, and procedures. Coordinating vendors with the vendor compliance specialist using Compliance Depot and our company's vendor setup process. Maintains files and records in an orderly manner; files paid invoices timely. Timely matches all vendor invoices to purchase order in industry-specific software, batched and scanned to the appropriate corporate accounting representative each week, ensuring all information and notes are updated and correct. Monitors and reviews all vendor statement balances including balance forward; performs a review in industry-specific software to ensure invoices paid/processed match the vendor statement. Researches all previous balances and late fees. Managing Resident Referrals (documentation and entering referral concession) Reviews locator referral forms for correct commission amounts prior to invoice being sent. Assists in the preparation of CARs and CRFs as needed and coordinates with Procos. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications/Skills:
Previous bookkeeping or assistant manager experience required. Advanced MS Office Word/Excel and computer technology skills. Strong attention to details, planning and time management skills. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to support 500+ units
Work Schedule:
Monday-Friday (work schedule may vary depending on business needs).
Pay Range:
