JOB DESCRIPTION
Summary/Objective - Manage the Company's invoicing, accounts receivables, reconciliations, and collections. Essential Functions
- Issue customer billings in both company accounting systems and customer required systems to include Sage.
- Co-ordinate payment receipts, application, deposits and reconciliations.
- Interface with customers on collection matters, credit requests, and payment dispute resolution.
- Provide management with timely and accurate payment and account standing information.
- Participate in the month-end and year-end close proceedings.
- Perform Financial Statement reconciliations to supplementary reports monthly.
- Participate in annual external audit.
- Process all credit memo's as approved by sales department head.
- Collect from past due customer accounts.
- Handle International billings and collections.
- Reconcile customer accounts and create customer statements.
- Year-end physical inventory and monthly inventory cycle counts. Competencies
- Must be a self-starter able to work independently, with minimal supervision.
- Must understand priorities.
- Must be familiar with cut-off procedures and period accounting requirements.
- Must be detail oriented, thorough, and command excellent time management skills
- Must have a thorough understanding of A/R functions within a manufacturing company and the interface of same to all other accounting aspects.
- Must be able to effectively communicate all levels of management.
- Must be detail oriented with good time management skill
- Must demonstrate good math skill
- Must be able to effectively communicate every caliber of employee Required Education and Experience BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field with 5 plus years of experience in credit/billings/collections department and/or 5 plus years of related work experience Preferred Education and Experience CPA Certification Supervisory Responsibility As assigned Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to food scents, some food allergens Physical Demands The physical demands for this position are not out of the scope of an office environment.
