The Heritage Community seeks a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk to join our established finance team. This critical role plays a key part in ensuring the financial health and smooth operations of our residential community. Responsibilities:
Conduct routine data entry management for accounting records, including accounts receivable, billing, and account adjustments. Review deposit details, invoices, and similar documents for accuracy and apply necessary adjustments to all related accounts. As necessary, assist in all aspects of the audit process, contributing to the accuracy and compliance of financial records. Post journal entries to the Accounts Receivable (AR) and general ledger as needed, ensuring records are up-to-date and precise. May assist with mail pickup and drop-off, customer assistance, and other clerical tasks to support the accounting department. Perform other duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to take on varied responsibilities.
Qualifications:
A high school diploma or equivalent is required An associate's degree in business or accounting is preferred, providing foundational knowledge in accounting principles. At least three years of increasingly responsible experience in accounting; related business school or college courses may be substituted for up to one year of experience.

Strong analytical skills with a meticulous eye for detail and accuracy. Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Exceptional customer service skills with clear and professional communication abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. A willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing procedures.
