Job Description
We are looking for an Accredition Analyst to support financial recordkeeping and transactional accounting activities for a nonprofit organization in Alexandria, Virginia. This position focuses on maintaining accurate payment and billing information, updating accounting records, and helping ensure day-to-day financial operations run smoothly. The ideal candidate brings at least one year of relevant experience and is comfortable working with detailed data in a fast-paced administrative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Process incoming invoices and outgoing payments with accuracy and in a timely manner.
- Maintain accounts receivable records, track incoming funds, and follow up on outstanding balances as needed.
- Enter financial data into accounting systems and verify records for completeness and accuracy.
- Support routine accounts payable activities by reviewing documentation and preparing transactions for approval.
- Reconcile billing and payment information to help keep financial records current and organized.
- Use QuickBooks to update account details, record transactions, and assist with routine reporting.
- Review invoice documentation to identify discrepancies and coordinate corrections when necessary.
