Vienna, VA (Hybrid - Monday through Thursday onsite, 1 remote day/week)

Temp-to-Perm Compensation:

$35-$40/hour; approximately $80,000 on conversion with flexibility up to $85,000

This position is eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits Key Responsibilities Play a hands-on role in the monthly close process and help ensure close activities are completed accurately and on time Maintain the general ledger and ensure financial transactions are recorded accurately Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, accruals, and supporting documentation Analyze account balances and investigate financial activity as needed Manage day-to-day accounts payable activities Review invoices for accuracy, appropriate coding, and compliance with company policies Ensure accounting transactions comply with applicable government contracting requirements Apply knowledge of FAR, CAS, and GAAP to accounting activities and financial processes Support financial reporting and other accounting initiatives as needed Work closely with the Controller and Financial Analyst on accounting and finance priorities Assist across multiple accounting functions based on business needs Maintain accurate, compliant, and audit-ready financial records Take ownership of assigned responsibilities and operate effectively with minimal supervision Qualifications 5+ years of progressive accounting experience required Strong general ledger and month-end close experience required Government contracting accounting experience required
