Job Description
Pediatric Dental Practice | Fredericksburg, VA We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented, and friendly billing/accounts professional to join our pediatric dental practice on a part-time — approximately 8-10 hours per week- As needed basis. This is a great fit for someone who has experience in a dental office and would enjoy a flexible, low-hour position without the commitment of a full-time job. What you'll be doing: Reviewing patient accounts and outstanding balances. Following up on unpaid patient balances. Answering patient questions about billing and account balances. Reviewing EOBs and insurance payments to help patients understand what they owe. Researching account discrepancies and correcting issues when appropriate. Setting up or discussing payment arrangements. Documenting account notes and communication. Identifying accounts that may need additional follow-up or collections. Working with our practice administrator when an account needs additional attention. What we're looking for: Dental billing experience with understanding of insurances is a MUST. Experience with patient A/R in the past. Comfortable discussing balances and payments with patients. Organized and extremely detail-oriented. Professional, friendly, and patient when communicating with families. Good customer service. Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned accounts. Comfortable learning/using practice-management software. Open Dental experience is a plus.
Position details:
Fredericksburg, VA. Approximately 5-10 hours/week, as needed. Competitive hourly pay based on experience. Flexible scheduling.
