Job Description
•This position begins January 2027
•
Assists the principal by performing responsible clerical and technical work involving the preparation and maintenance of fiscal or related documents for the school.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Collect all monies and receipts daily,
Make daily deposits at the designated bank,
Print checks twice a month (or as directed by the principal),
Account for and distribute purchase orders (county and school),
Run periodic bookkeeping reports,
Prepare monthly bank reconciliation reports,
Manage school and instructional funds and provide reports to staff members that manage these funds,
Order all general school supplies,
Receive and distribute all school supplies,
Review school board reports on allocations, and follow specified guidelines for the management of these allocations,
Be cross trained as school secretary (or other specific office position as determined by the principal),
Assist in the general management of the office, including answering the phone, serving as receptionist, performing clerical duties, and, Other duties as assigned by the principal.
EDUCATION and/or
EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
260 days per year, Clerical II salary scale
