Job Description
Job Definition:
The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for reviewing, coding, and entering vendor invoices into the accounting system; matching invoices to purchase orders and receiving records; processing weekly payments via check or ACH; reconciling vendor statements; resolving invoice discrepancies; and maintaining organized digital and physical financial records.Qualifications:
Ability to use enterprise-level financial record-keeping systems, spreadsheets, and email applications. Ability to complete a high volume of work within deadlines. Excellent oral and written communication skills to interact with employees, customers, and vendors effectively. Efficiently manages time and deadlines. Ability to interact effectively with management and peers. Ability to function as a team member to foster a positive office environment. Strong organization skills to support company operations. Attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation, financial transactions, and other tasks. Comfort with changing priorities and a dynamic work environment.Responsibilities:
Process vendor invoices, including matching invoices to purchase orders and receiving documents. Prepare invoice packages with adequate support for entry into the accounting system. Reconcile vendor accounts to subledgers. Process vendor payments as needed. Provide support for the Chief Financial Officer in accounts payable reporting and management.Education Requirement:
High School DiplomaPREFERRED
Associate Degree inAccounting Experience Requirement:
1-3 years of accounts payable or general office accounting experience.Job Type:
