Accounts Payable Coordinator Physicians' Surgery Center of Tidewater | Virginia Beach, VA Full-Time | On-Site Position Join Our Team & Make a Difference! Physicians' Surgery Center of Tidewater is seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Coordinator to join our team. We are a busy, multi-specialty ambulatory surgery center proudly serving the Virginia Beach community and affiliated with United Surgical Partners International (USPI). This position plays a critical role in supporting the Business Office and ensuring the accurate and timely processing of financial transactions. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced healthcare environment. Position Summary The Accounts Payable Coordinator supports the Business Office by processing invoices, maintaining vendor accounts, reconciling statements, preparing check runs, and assisting with financial reporting. This position requires strong attention to detail, confidentiality, organization, and excellent customer service skills. Responsibilities Process and code accounts payable invoices. Match invoices to purchase orders and packing slips. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Prepare weekly check runs and assist with cash requirements. Support month-end close, financial reporting, and annual 1099 preparation. Maintain accurate vendor files and financial records. Provide backup support for patient registration and other office functions. Communicate professionally with physicians, vendors, and employees. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required. Minimum three (3) years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in a healthcare setting. Experience with Oracle Financials or similar ERP systems preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook. Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and work independently. Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
