The Breakdown The Accounts Receivable Specialist - Major Accounts is responsible for managing a portfolio of high-volume, chargeback-intensive key accounts. This role requires a high degree of organization, proactive communication, and analytical follow-through. The specialist owns the full AR lifecycle for their portfolio: from invoice verification and collections to chargeback resolution, reconciliation, cash application support, and cash flow reporting. Success in this role is measured by the accuracy and timeliness of account maintenance, the quality of reporting delivered to management, and the ability to independently identify, escalate, and resolve account issues before they impact cash flow or financial reporting. What You Get to
Do:
Serve as the primary AR point of contact for assigned accounts, partnering closely with Sales, Account Management, Logistics, IT, and Finance Manage vendor portals and contacts to support account setup and inquiry resolution Maintain organized, up-to-date customer statements showing future due invoices, past-due balances, credits, chargebacks, and deductions, ensuring nothing is missing or misapplied. Own the chargeback process end-to-end - logging claims, investigating pricing and shortage issues, and escalating aged or high-dollar items before deadlines Reconcile large customer returns, coordinating with logistics, account management, and the customer through to resolution. Monitor aging reports daily, follow up on past-due balances, and escalate problem accounts to the AR Manager with clear next steps. Support cash forecasting with accurate collection estimates and expected payment timing; assist with year-end reserve calculations. Assist with ad hoc projects as needed, including warranty reconciliation, wholesale collections, cash application, customer master maintenance, and AR inbox correspondence. What You'll Bring to the
Team:
2+ years of accounts receivable, collections, or related finance experience, with a background managing high-volume or chargeback-heavy accounts in a retail or wholesale environment preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and data organization. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple accounts and competing priorities. Clear, professional written and verbal communication skills with all internal and external stakeholders. Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned accounts. Familiarity with ERP or order-management systems (e.g., Infor M3) is a plus - not required. We're happy to train the right candidate.

Please note that the range details above reflect the base pay only and does not include any potential bonus and other benefits that we offer. This is an on-site role, based in Burlington, VT and will be required to be on site at Burlington HQ at least 4 days per week.
