Non-Exempt Salary Range $17.00•$30.00 JOB SUMMARY The AR/AP Clerk processes, analyzes, and records business transactions that accurately reflect operational activities of the organization.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Processes accounts payable•collects invoices and matches them to supporting documents, enters invoice data into computer, prints checks, runs Accounts Payable register, and obtains authorized signatures on checks. Processes accounts receivable•generates and sends statements, and deposits and posts payments upon receipt. Balances credit card statements. Creates/maintains spreadsheets as necessary. Establishes and maintains relationships with vendors. Answers phone calls and directs calls to appropriate parties or takes messages. Purchases supplies for all offices. Handles Inter-office mail from daily Courier bags from each office. Meters mail as necessary. Provide cross-coverage within the department upon extended staff absences. Performs other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Strong computer skills, Ability to formulate and maintain computer spreadsheets. Analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to juggle multiple tasks and prioritize workload.

EDUCATION

Associate degree in accounting or equivalent experience preferred.

EXPERIENCE 2

years' experience in accounting setting preferred.
