The Administrative Assistant Bookkeeper will use accounting software to update financial data, generate reports, and support finance-related activities. The role also involves communicating with internal staff and external partners, ensuring accurate documentation, and supporting administrative projects as needed. Qualifications Ability to prepare, review, and understand basic financial statements and reports. Proficiency in bookkeeping tasks, including recording transactions and maintaining accurate ledgers. Experience using accounting software and related tools to manage financial records. Foundational knowledge of finance principles and practices relevant to a labor organization environment. Skill in creating and posting journal entries, with attention to accuracy and compliance. Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple tasks and deadlines. Clear written and verbal communication skills for working with staff, members, and external partners. Basic proficiency with office software (e.g., spreadsheets, word processing, email) and document management. High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail in handling financial and member information. Prior experience in administrative support and bookkeeping; relevant coursework or certification in accounting or finance is beneficial.
