Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and energetic Accounts Payable and Office Clerk to join our team in Real Estate Management. In this vital role, you will be responsible for processing and managing outgoing payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and accounting standards. In addition, you will be responsible for general office administration such as ordering supplies, answering the phones, filing and ensuring that paperwork is filed in a timely fashion. Your proactive approach will help maintain smooth financial operations, support vendor relationships, and uphold the integrity of our financial data and smooth running of our office. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in corporate and real estate accounting while contributing to a dynamic organization committed to excellence. Responsibilities Review, verify, and process invoices using various financial software such as AppFolio or QuickBooks, ensuring all payments adhere to company policies and GAAP standards. Reconcile accounts payable transactions with the general ledger, performing balance sheet reconciliations and account reconciliations regularly. Manage vendor inquiries promptly, providing excellent customer service and resolving discrepancies efficiently. Assist in month-end closing activities by preparing detailed reports on outstanding payables and aging analysis. Skills Strong understanding of accounting principles including GAAP, governmental accounting standards, and technical accounting concepts. Proficiency in financial software such as AppFolio or QuickBooks or similar platforms; experience with Microsoft Office Suite especially Excel for data analysis is essential and Teams and Notes. Demonstrated ability in data entry with high accuracy and attention to detail in handling confidential information. Excellent numeracy skills combined with the ability to perform account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and journal entries confidently. Knowledge of accounts receivable management alongside accounts payable processes enhances overall financial acumen. Experience with bookkeeping tasks like double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting is highly desirable. Ability to analyze financial data effectively using Excel spreadsheets and other accounting systems; familiarity with tax experience or budgeting is a plus. Pay:
$27.23 - $32.80 per hour
