Potential to Expand into a Full-Time Role About Sound Bookkeepers Sound Bookkeepers is a fast-growing FinTech bookkeeping and accounting firm serving businesses throughout Washington State. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Manager Bookkeeper with a strong accounting background and advanced QuickBooks Online expertise to join our team in Lynnwood, Washington. This is a senior-level, hands-on position for an experienced accounting professional who can quickly assess complex client files, identify and resolve bookkeeping issues, establish effective accounting procedures, and prepare accounts for successful transition to our recurring bookkeeping team. The ideal candidate is highly proficient in QuickBooks Online, detail-oriented, efficient, and comfortable working across a broad range of businesses and industries. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with clients, bookkeepers, and Sound Bookkeepers' management team are essential. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive cleanup, reconstruction, and correction of new client QuickBooks Online files
• Identify and resolve complex bookkeeping, reconciliation, classification, and accounting issues
• Review historical transactions and account activity to ensure financial records are accurate and complete
• Develop and document client-specific Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Establish efficient QBO workflows and accounting processes for new clients
• Prepare completed client files for successful handoff to Sound Bookkeepers' recurring bookkeeping staff
• Clearly communicate client-specific accounting procedures, outstanding issues, and ongoing requirements to the assigned bookkeeper
• Assist management with quality-control reviews of existing client files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Sound Bookkeepers' internal standards
• Troubleshoot QuickBooks Online issues and recommend improvements to accounting workflows and processes
• Work with management to identify recurring bookkeeping issues and develop procedures that improve accuracy, efficiency, and consistency across the organization Professional Qualifications
• CPA, Master's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent advanced accounting education and experience preferred
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on QuickBooks Online experience required
• Advanced knowledge of QBO functionality, troubleshooting, cleanup, reconciliations, and workflow optimization
• Extensive bookkeeping and accounting experience across a broad range of businesses and industries
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, balance sheet reconciliations, income statements, and financial reporting
• Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose and correct complex bookkeeping issues
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to document accounting procedures and create clear, repeatable SOPs
• High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and accountability
