Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Technician to join our finance team. In this role, you will provide essential support to the Accounting and Finance Department by accurately entering, reviewing, and maintaining financial records and transactions. This position is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of accounting data, processing routine financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and supporting financial reporting and compliance activities. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, adaptable to new systems and processes, and able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment while maintaining strict confidentiality. Duties Essential Duties and Responsibilities Financial Data Entry & Record Maintenance
  • Accurately enter, review, and maintain financial data for multiple properties, including invoices, expense reports, receipts, accounts payable transactions, payroll information, and general ledger entries.
  • Import financial data from source files, organize and maintain accounting records, journals, registers, and supporting documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Perform monthly bank and credit card reconciliations by reviewing vendor invoices, statements, account balances, and financial transactions to identify, research, resolve, and document discrepancies. Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, budget preparation, financial reporting, and supporting schedules, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
  • Prepare documentation for internal and external audits while ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), company policies, applicable payroll, tax, and financial reporting regulations. Administrative & Operational Support
  • Maintain organized financial records and documentation while supporting continuous improvements to accounting procedures and data management processes.
  • Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, and Operations to ensure the accuracy and consistency of financial information.
  • Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications Education & Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate or bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Two to four years of accounting, bookkeeping, finance, and data entry experience preferred. Relevant education may be considered in lieu of experience. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting and payroll software.
  • Strong data entry, typing, and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Working knowledge of basic accounting principles, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, general ledger functions, and financial reporting processes.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Ability to learn new software applications and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial and payroll information.

$32.00 - $36.00 per hour
