Job Description
Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Specialist Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Receivable & Accounts Payable Specialist to support the company's day-to-day accounting operations. This position will be responsible for processing invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, managing customer and vendor accounts, and assisting with timely payments and collections. Being a family owned company we all wear multiple hats some days, so this position also brings the opportunity to learn our Scale Master role which helps you learn more about the business, customers, and gives overtime opportunities. Key Responsibilities Process and maintain accounts payable invoices and payments. Enter invoices, bills, and other financial transactions accurately and timely. Prepare and send customer invoices and statements. Monitor accounts receivable balances and follow up on outstanding invoices. Post and apply customer payments to accounts. Reconcile customer and vendor accounts and resolve discrepancies. Assist with monthly account reconciliations and closing procedures. Communicate with customers and vendors regarding invoices, payments, and account questions. Maintain organized and accurate accounting records. Assist with preparing reports and providing financial information as needed. Ensure transactions are processed in accordance with company policies and procedures. Perform other general accounting and administrative duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required; accounting coursework or degree preferred. Previous accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting experience preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Good organizational and time management skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Work Environment This is a full-time position working in a professional office environment. The successful candidate should be dependable, organized, and comfortable working independently while also collaborating with other departments.
