Job Description

The AR/Credit Specialist will provide quality customer service while accurately preparing and maintaining records related to customer applications for credit, open accounts receivable, account setup and master data maintenance, and more. All duties will be performed in a manner that will help achieve the Medford Cooperative's mission and goals.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Balance & process daily sales batches from all locations. Merge to accounting system. Enter invoices, credits and payments as needed. RDC check process. Prepare monthly ACH payment batches. Manage the John Deere payment process. Provide a variety of customer service and help with account charges, payment terms, corrections, questions, maintaining up to date customer information, etc. Assist with processing monthly customer statements. Process customer applications for credit, including running credit checks and setting up customer accounts upon credit approval. Process mail merge for past due notification letters. Manage Tax Exemption files for Accounts Receivable charge customers. Back up to do mail run when needed. Assist with month end process as needed. Perform basic office duties such as filing, data entry, scanning, etc. Other duties as required.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS
Education and Experience:
Associate's degree in Accounting or Finance preferred, 1 year of financial accounting experience, accounts receivable or credit preferred. Working knowledge of accounting software and systems; Agvantage or Ag based ERP experience is preferred. Proficiency with MS Office 365 software
