JOB TITLE
Work Study Posn Student- Business Office Aide
DEPARTMENT INFORMATION
Shared Business Services provides support to Business Enterprises, comprised of Housing, Dining, Vending, Copy & Print Center, and the University Store. Working as a business office aide will provide you with real-life applications of accounting and business practices. You will learn accounting processes and focus on being detail-oriented. This role will develop data entry and accounting skills. You will also learn to work with a full accounting team. In this position, you will be working with staff and students of the University of Wyoming.
Job location:
Washakie Center Pay rate or range: $12/hr
JOB PURPOSE
Assist with the daily accounting and business office processes in the Business Enterprises Business Office.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist with copying, sorting, and entering invoices for payment Data entry for various projects Assist with pulling, sorting, tracking, and sending invoices that need to be paid Assist with cash handling processes as needed Sort mail Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education :
High School Diploma or GED; Accounting or Business major preferred.
Experience :
An interest in accounting or business management Other requirements: Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year. Valid driver's license with a motor vehicle record (MVR) compliant with the Driving for University Business
SAP . DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in an office environment Detail oriented Good organizational skills and time management Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, Sharepoint)
