Office Assistant Job Description A leading property management company is seeking an office assistant to support a busy rental office. You will manage mail and lease documentation, assist tenants with their paperwork needs, and provide general administrative and customer service support. This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and enjoys working in a fast-paced real estate environment with opportunities for growth. Responsibilities Distribute incoming and outgoing mail for the rental office in an accurate and timely manner. Handle all certified mail related to leases, ensuring proper tracking, documentation, and delivery. Send tenants copies of their lease agreements and any other documents they may need, using both digital and physical formats as appropriate. Maintain organized records of lease documents and correspondence to support office operations and compliance. Provide general office assistance, including filing, scanning, data entry, and document preparation. Deliver professional and friendly customer service to tenants and visitors, responding promptly to inquiries and requests. Use Outlook to manage email communications and schedule-related tasks for the rental office. Use Excel to update and maintain basic spreadsheets, logs, or reports related to leases, tenants, or office activities. Support the rental and property management team with administrative tasks as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day operations. Essential Skills Proven administrative support experience in an office environment. Proficiency in data entry with a strong attention to accuracy and detail. Customer service experience, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with tenants and colleagues. Ability to use Microsoft Excel for basic data entry and spreadsheet maintenance. High school diploma or equivalent. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodbridge, NJ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $22.00/hr.
