We are looking for a Head of Brokerage who wants to help build this division from the ground up. This is not simply an individual broker position. The right candidate is entrepreneurial, commercially minded, comfortable managing salespeople, and interested in building a division with significant long-term potential. Initial Focus:
Marine Brokerage The division will initially focus on boats and yachts.
The Head of Brokerage will:
Personally develop and close brokerage opportunities Build relationships with boat owners, dealers, marinas, manufacturers, and industry partners Acquire quality boat and yacht listings Develop the MK brokerage sales process Establish listing, communication, negotiation, and closing standards Recruit and onboard yacht brokers Train, coach, and manage the brokerage team Monitor pipeline, listings, broker activity, and closed transactions Assist brokers with negotiations and complex transactions Build a culture centered around production, professionalism, and accountability Expansion of the Division Once the marine brokerage operation is established, the Head of Brokerage will help MK expand the model into additional asset classes. RV & Specialty Asset Brokerage High-value RVs and additional specialty assets that fit MK's client base and brokerage model. The long-term objective is to create a diversified brokerage division capable of handling high-value assets across several industries. Who We're Looking For We are more interested in finding the right business leader than simply finding the person with the longest yacht brokerage résumé. Strong candidates may come from brokerage, marine sales, automotive, aviation, luxury sales, dealership management, business development, entrepreneurship, or other high-ticket sales environments.
Ideal candidates will have:
Leadership or management experience Experience recruiting, developing, or managing salespeople Strong high-ticket sales and negotiation ability An entrepreneurial mindset Experience building processes, teams, or business units Strong communication and relationship-building skills Comfort working with affluent and high-net-worth clients The ability to personally sell while simultaneously building a team Strong accountability and organizational skills Marine or brokerage experience preferred, but not required for an exceptional candidate What Makes This Opportunity Different You are not stepping into a mature department and maintaining someone else's system. You will have the opportunity to help create the system and build the division . The Head of Brokerage will work closely with MK leadership on recruiting strategy, compensation structures, brokerage standards, sales processes, expansion strategy, and the long-term direction of the division. As the division grows, the position is intended to evolve from leading MK's marine brokerage operation into overseeing a broader multi-asset brokerage platform covering marine, aviation, automotive, RV, and specialty assets . The stock option component is intended to align the Head of Brokerage with the long-term value they help create. Apply If you have experience leading people, building businesses, managing high-value sales, or operating entrepreneurially and believe you could help build MK's brokerage division, we would like to speak with you. Traditional yacht brokerage experience is valuable, but leadership ability, business judgment, sales capability, and the ability to build and manage a team matter more than simply having years in the industry.
