Job Description Develop, maintain, and update cost models supporting Air Force acquisition programs. Perform lifecycle cost estimates (LCCE), Independent Cost Estimates (ICE), and Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) analyses. Conduct budget planning, affordability assessments, and what-if scenario analysis. Collect, validate, normalize, and analyze historical cost and technical data. Support acquisition program offices with cost estimating, financial analysis, and program planning activities. Translate complex quantitative analysis into clear presentations and recommendations for senior leadership. Partner with engineers, logisticians, program managers, and government stakeholders to evaluate program risks and cost drivers. Support program reviews, milestone decisions, and strategic acquisition planning. Prepare executive-level briefings, reports, and cost assessment documentation. Provide data-driven recommendations to improve program affordability and execution. Skills and Requirements Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research, or a related field. 5+ years of experience supporting DoD acquisition programs in a cost analysis, cost estimating, pricing, financial analysis, or related role. Experience developing and maintaining cost models and cost estimates. Strong understanding of DoD acquisition processes and program office environments. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including modeling, forecasting, and scenario analysis. Experience presenting analytical findings and cost sensitivities to senior leadership. Active Secret Security Clearance. Ability to operate independently and contribute immediately in a fast-paced program environment. Experience supporting AFNWC, Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), or related Air Force acquisition organizations. Experience developing Lifecycle Cost Estimates (LCCE), Independent Cost Estimates (ICE), or ROM estimates. Experience supporting strategic weapons, missile, or hypersonic weapons programs. Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM). Experience using Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools.
