To know more about the College of Social Sciences, please visit: https://socialsciences.manoa.hawaii.edu/ Duties and Responsibilities 1.- Assists with the collection and analysis of fiscal, budget and program data and preparation of financial management status reports. 2.
- Reviews and processes personnel documents associated with the College's graduate research assistants (GA-11). Ensures compliance with current university policies and procedures. 2
- Updates and maintains internal College logs and personnel records. 3.
- Reviews travel requests and completion reports for the college to ascertain propriety, completeness, accuracy and taxability of per diem, and processes for payment. 4.
- Audits vendor invoices and processes payments. This involves both input of data and hard copy processing of payment documents. 5.
- Serves as a resource to department and program personnel on proper procurement procedures according to administrative policies and procedures of the University of Hawai`i and laws and guidelines of the State of Hawai`i. 6.
- Reviews, audits, and approves procurement documents to assure compliance with Federal, State of Hawaii, and University guidelines, policies, and procedures. 7.
- Review PCDOs in a timely manner in adherence to OPRPM deadlines, assuring compliance with UH Policies and Procedures. 8.
- Assists in the coordination of annual inventory. 9.
- Assists with training of department support staff on electronic financial systems developed by the university. 10.
- Works with Administrative Officer to resolve issues that arise involving departments, other units, as well as system wide offices. 11.
- Assists with the resolution of problems between departments and vendors; negotiates solutions when applicable. 12.
- Assists with the fiscal year end closing. Prepares entries to record accounts receivable, prepaid expenses, accounts payable, miscellaneous encumbrances and other adjustments and accruals. 13.
- Stays abreast with current administrative policies and procedures in relation to fiscal and personnel administration.
