- This position is eligible for_ telework (https://mn.gov/mmb-stat/policies/1422-telework.pdf) _for applicants who reside in Minnesota or in a bordering state, with supervisory approval and satisfactory performance. - _ As the Systems Account Budget Officer, the incumbent will review and implement budget setup, cost allocation determinations, and reporting requirements associated with the Department of Human Services (DHS) Systems Account and DHS systems modernization.
- Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:
- + Collaborate with Systems Account Lead, Project Managers, MN.
- Minimum Qualifications
- _•To facilitate proper crediting, please ensure that your resume clearly describes your experience in the areas listed and indicates the beginning and ending month, day and year for each job held.
- _•Three (3) years of accounting or financial experience.
Experience must demonstrate:
+ Skills sufficient to conduct complex calculations. + Working with cost allocation principles or indirect cost methodologies. + Familiarity with SWIFT or similar accounting system. + Skills and abilities to analyze complex financial and statistical data.- A Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance may substitute for one (1) year of experience. OR
- A Master's degree in Accounting or Finance may substitute for two (2) years of experience.
- Preferred Qualifications
- + Budgeting or Accounting experience with charts of accounts or structure funding codes. + Understanding of the DHS Cost Allocation process or the DHS Public Assistance Cost Allocation Plan. + Experience with _State of MN and DHS accounting systems and policies, including SWIFT, SEMA4 and EIOR._ + Variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures.
