BUDGET ANALYST
The purpose of this position is to perform professional level support and services to the Budget department. This is accomplished by preparing and presenting the City's operating budget, monitoring revenues and expenditures for assigned departments, and researching and analyzing data on a monthly and quarterly basis. Other responsibilities include preparing periodic and ad hoc reports. This position does not provide direction to other employees. Why Work for the City of North Richland Hills? Retirement As a full time, employee, you will become a member of the Texas Municipal Retirement System (TMRS) with the City of North Richland Hills making contributions towards your account. You can also put savings toward retirement in the voluntary 457 deferred compensation plan. Vacation, Holidays, and Sick Leave The city offers vacation and sick leave, as well as ten paid holidays. Full time employees earn three weeks of vacation during their first year of employment and 10 hours of sick leave a month. What We're Looking For Master's degree in business, finance, accounting, public administration, or a related field with related work experience, preferably within a local government finance environment. A bachelor's degree in one of these fields may be substituted for the above requirement if the candidate has a minimum of two years of related work experience, preferably within a local government finance environment. Valid Texas Class C Driver License. Additional Information Typical work hours are 8:00 AM through 5:00 PM Monday through Friday, with a one hour lunch break.
