Compensation:
$270,000–$300,000 +
Bonus Location:
Melbourne, FL | Onsite Must currently reside in Melbourne, FL or within reasonable commuting distance of the Melbourne/Space Coast area. #LI-Onsite Executive Leadership Opportunity A growing and diversified real estate organization is creating a new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position to support its continued expansion. This executive will work closely with the President & COO and leadership team to establish and execute financial strategy across a broad platform that includes homebuilding, real estate development, land acquisition, and related operations . The CFO will have significant influence over financial performance, investment decisions, capital allocation, forecasting, and long-term growth while leading an established Accounting & Finance team. Why This Opportunity Stands Out Newly established CFO position created as a result of continued company growth Direct strategic partnership with the President & COO and executive leadership Meaningful influence over investments, growth initiatives, capital allocation, and overall financial strategy Financial leadership across a complex operation encompassing homebuilding, development, and land acquisition Established Accounting & Finance team already in place, with an opportunity to further strengthen and develop the function Ability to modernize reporting, forecasting, financial systems, and processes Entrepreneurial culture with substantial autonomy and executive-level visibility Competitive executive compensation package with bonus opportunity Key Areas of Responsibility Financial & Executive Leadership Provide executive oversight of Accounting, Finance, FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting Act as a trusted financial advisor to the President & COO and broader executive leadership team Establish and execute financial strategies aligned with the organization's growth objectives Deliver timely, actionable financial analysis and recommendations to support executive decision-making Real Estate & Investment Strategy Lead financial planning across homebuilding, land development, land acquisition, and related real estate activities Evaluate prospective investments, acquisitions, development opportunities, and strategic initiatives Analyze project economics, development activity, profitability, investment returns, and overall financial performance Assess capital requirements and support decisions regarding capital allocation Planning, Reporting & Financial Infrastructure Direct annual budgeting, long-range financial planning, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial modeling Strengthen executive reporting and improve the visibility and usability of financial information Maintain strong financial controls, accounting policies, reporting standards, and compliance practices Identify opportunities to improve and scale financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities as the organization grows Team & Organizational Development Lead, mentor, and develop Accounting & Finance professionals Continue building the organization's financial leadership capabilities and infrastructure Partner with operational leaders across the business to improve accountability, operating performance, and profitability Qualifications Master's degree required 10+ years of progressive Finance and Accounting leadership experience Significant experience in homebuilding, real estate development, land development, land acquisition, or construction required Demonstrated success leading Finance within a complex, multi-entity organization Strong expertise in FP&A, financial forecasting, cash flow planning, financial modeling, and executive reporting Experience evaluating investments, development projects, capital needs, and strategic growth opportunities Proven ability to lead, develop, and strengthen Accounting & Finance teams CPA preferred Must currently live in the Melbourne/Space Coast area or within reasonable commuting distance Must be able to work onsite in Melbourne, FL Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements Executive-Level Impact & Growth Direct access to and partnership with executive leadership Significant role in shaping the organization's growth and financial strategy Opportunity to influence investment and capital allocation decisions Established Accounting & Finance team and infrastructure to build upon Ability to transform and scale the Finance function alongside organizational growth Long-term executive leadership opportunity within a growing real estate organization The Ideal Candidate This opportunity is designed for an established finance executive who has already led within homebuilding, real estate development, land development, or construction and understands the unique financial dynamics of these industries. The ideal CFO will combine strong technical finance and accounting expertise with the ability to evaluate development economics, manage capital requirements, build financial models, and advise executive leadership.
