Job Description
Job Summary Profitable, growing Sarasota company with well-established name in life sciences seeks candidate for Controller / CFO position to assist in continued growth of its business. Must have experience as a Controller / CFO in a manufacturing business and be able to demonstrate experience in cost accounting and establishing / monitoring manufacturing variance reporting. Must be comfortable in $25-35mm revenue, private equity owned, international company with aggressive growth goals and be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Essential Responsibilities Oversee the company's growing accounting department; Prepare monthly financial statements (including consolidation of international subsidiaries, financial data analysis and key performance indicator tracking) on a timely basis for internal and bank reporting purposes; Coordinate the preparation of accountant-prepared financial statement audit; Generate annual budget (and track monthly progress against these budgets) and forecasts; Develop improved expense tracking and manufacturing variance reporting. Candidates must be able to present how they have substantial experience breaking down and analyzing profitability by product, customer, market channel, etc.; Provide analysis for capital investments, product pricing and contract negotiations; Provide dashboard reporting (financial and operating metrics) to other members of senior management; Comply with and manage local, state, and federal government reporting and tax requirements; Direct all day-to-day accounting and cash management operations including: payroll reconciliation, accounts payable, check runs, accounts receivable collections, bank reconciliations and covenant management, etc.; Manage relationships with lenders;
Qualifications:
At least 10 years of accounting and finance experience, preferably in a controller or more senior role; minimum of 4 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment; Bachelor's Degree (CPA or accounting degree preferred).
