Family Office CFO Key Responsibilities:
Lead the accounting, tax, and financial operations of the family office Oversee complex family tax matters, tax planning, compliance, and coordination with external tax advisors Manage accounting and financial reporting across multiple entities Own month-end, quarterly, and annual financial reporting Oversee cash flow management, forecasting, and financial analysis Prepare and present board-level financial reporting Provide financial oversight across family investments and entities Partner directly with family principals as a trusted financial and strategic resource Work closely with the Controller to ensure accurate reporting, strong controls, and effective financial operations
Family Office CFO Qualifications:
Prior family office experience required CPA required Strong public accounting foundation High-level tax expertise with experience supporting complex family tax matters Deep understanding of tax planning, compliance, and coordination with external tax advisors Experience managing complex multi-entity structures Elite technical accounting and tax foundation Strong financial and board-level reporting experience Polished, discreet executive presence with the ability to work directly with family principals Investment experience helpful but not required #
