Job Description
Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead the financial operations of a private practice medical group. The ideal candidate will possess extensive expertise in healthcare finance, corporate accounting, and regulatory compliance, with a proven track record of driving fiscal stability and growth within complex organizational structures. As CFO, you will serve as a key member of the executive leadership team, overseeing all financial aspects to ensure sustainable development, operational efficiency, and compliance with industry standards. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence the financial health of a dynamic healthcare organization dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with the organization's long-term goals, including revenue management and business development initiatives. Oversee all aspects of corporate accounting, including financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards), and IAS (International Accounting Standards). Lead risk analysis efforts by evaluating financial risks related to mergers & acquisitions, market fluctuations, and operational activities; develop mitigation strategies accordingly. Manage treasury functions such as cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity management to optimize financial resources. Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), COSO (Committee of Sponsoring Organizations), and other relevant regulatory frameworks through robust internal controls. Supervise budgeting processes, expense management, cost control measures, and financial modeling to support fiscal discipline and operational efficiency. Interpret complex financial reports and analysis for senior leadership to facilitate strategic planning and decision-making. Lead negotiations related to mergers & acquisitions or partnership opportunities that align with organizational growth objectives. Oversee revenue cycle management processes ensuring accurate billing, coding compliance (including ASC 606 standards), and maximization of revenue streams. Foster a high-performance finance team through effective supervision, mentorship, and leadership development initiatives. Requirements Proven experience in senior financial management roles within healthcare or similar regulated environments; experience in private practice medical groups is highly desirable. Extensive knowledge of corporate finance principles including revenue management, risk management, and business analysis. Demonstrated expertise in financial concepts such as profit & loss analysis, forecasting, budgeting, and cost management. Strong familiarity with regulatory reporting standards including
GAAP, IFRS, IAS, ASC 606
standards for revenue recognition, and governmental accounting practices. Proficiency in financial software systems used in healthcare settings along with advanced skills in financial modeling and analysis tools. Excellent leadership capabilities with experience supervising teams across multiple finance functions such as payroll management, supply chain cost control, and expense oversight. Exceptional communication skills for clear financial report writing and interpretation tailored for diverse audiences including board members and executive teams. Ability to navigate complex negotiations while maintaining strategic focus on organizational growth objectives. Strong analytical skills combined with a proactive approach to risk assessment and mitigation strategies.
