The CFO will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial management, including accounting, reporting, risk analysis, and strategic planning. This role requires an energetic leader with a strong background in corporate finance, compliance, and business development to drive sustainable growth and ensure financial integrity across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for fiscal management, industry knowledge of financial regulations, and the ability to inspire and manage high-performing finance teams. The My Auto Group is made of 8 automotive and motor sports dealerships in the West and Central Michigan area. We carry over 20 brands, including Subaru, Toyota, Volkswagen, Nissan, Audi, Harley-Davidson, Can-Am, and Polaris. Duties Develop and implement comprehensive financial strategies aligned with organizational goals to maximize profitability and growth. Oversee corporate accounting functions, including financial statement analysis, regulatory reporting, and adherence to GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards). Manage treasury functions such as cash flow forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity management to support operational needs. Drive revenue management strategies through market analysis, financial projection model development, and profit & loss oversight. Lead mergers & acquisitions activities by evaluating potential opportunities, conducting due diligence, and negotiating terms to support business expansion. Oversee budgeting processes, cost control measures, expense management, and financial forecasting analysis to ensure fiscal discipline. Supervise finance team members in areas including payroll management, cost accounting, tax accounting, and supply chain finance. Collaborate with senior leadership to shape corporate strategy, facilitate fundraising efforts for business development, and support strategic planning initiatives. Requirements Extensive experience in accounting and finance leadership roles with a proven track record as a finance Controller or CFO in diverse industries. Deep understanding of financial concepts including profit & loss management, financial statement interpretation, risk analysis, and cost control. Demonstrated ability to develop financial models for forecasting and strategic planning that support organizational growth objectives. Skilled in negotiation, business analysis, and corporate strategy development with excellent leadership capabilities to manage cross-functional teams effectively. Proficiency with advanced accounting systems and financial software tools essential for accurate reporting and data analysis. Exceptional analytical skills combined with the ability to interpret complex financial reports clearly for executive decision-making. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, certifications such as CPA or CFA are highly desirable. Experience managing risk assessments related to industry regulations and implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.
