Prosperity Partners ("Prosperity") is a Chicago-headquartered professional services firm offering best-in-class tax, accounting, transaction advisory and personal finance services to dynamic businesses, high net-worth individuals, and family offices. With offices throughout the United States and private equity backing, Prosperity is seeking an organized Bookkeeping Associate to support our growing practice in Egg Harbor Township. The firm utilizes state-of-the-art accounting practices, superior technology and a roll-up-the-sleeves approach by entrenching personnel within our clients' business. The Prosperity team of specialists employs a unique two-prong ("tag team") approach that includes (1) addressing day-to-day activity, operating on a monthly or quarterly basis; and (2) addressing overall strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

Client Engagement:

Meet clients on-site to complete the following key responsibilities. This will require traveling to the clients throughout the week. Bookkeepers are reimbursed for travel expenses when traveling to client locations. (Driver's Licenses required)

Record Transactions:

Accurately record and categorize all financial transactions, including income, expenses, and bank deposits, into QuickBooks.

Bank Reconciliation:

Perform regular bank and credit card reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accounted for and discrepancies are resolved promptly.

Accounts Payable and Receivable:

Manage accounts payable and receivable, including invoice generation, payment processing, and tracking outstanding balances.

Financial Reporting:

Generate financial reports using QuickBooks, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial health.

Tax Preparation:

Assist in the preparation of financial data for tax filings and work with external accountants as needed.

Expense Management:

Monitor and control expenses, ensuring adherence to the budget and cost-saving opportunities are identified.

Financial Analysis:

Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement. Work with the Firm's management to create recommendations based on financial analysis.

Documentation:

Maintain organized and accurate financial records, ensuring all documents are filed appropriately and in compliance with relevant regulations.

Qualifications:

1-5 years' experience with QuickBooks; QuickBooks certification (or ability to gain certification within 6 months of hire date) preferred; Associate's degree or higher in accounting, finance, or related field required; Experience with Microsoft Office Excel and Timeslips strongly preferred; Excellent written and verbal communication skills a must; At least two references. Pay:

$50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
