Job Description

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a detail-oriented, trustworthy, and hands-on Controller / Finance Director to oversee full-cycle accounting, treasury management, tax compliance, and financial operations for our single-family office. Reporting directly to Family Office Leadership and Principals, this individual will maintain end-to-end financial oversight across a diverse, multi-entity portfolio encompassing private equities, real estate holdings, trusts, and personal family structures. This is a full-time, 100% in-person opportunity based at our headquarters in Las Vegas, NV. The ideal candidate thrives in a direct, entrepreneurial, multi-hat environment—balancing day-to-day general ledger operations with executive financial reporting and portfolio performance tracking.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Management & Accounting Operations
  • Manage full-cycle accounting, general ledger maintenance, and monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes across all legal entities.
  • Oversee accounts payable (AP), vendor relationships, wire transfers, intercompany billings, and internal expense approvals.
  • Execute comprehensive monthly reconciliations for bank accounts, investment portfolios, credit cards, and balance sheet line items.
  • Deliver timely, accurate financial statements and management reports for Executive Leadership. Portfolio & Investment Oversight
  • Maintain precise entity-level accounting and documentation for investment holdings, including private equity, real estate assets, partnerships, and liquid portfolios.
  • Track and reconcile capital calls, distributions, and intercompany cash movements across related family structures.
  • Assist leadership in evaluating asset valuations, monitoring portfolio performance, and maintaining ongoing cash flow projections. Tax, Compliance & Advisory Coordination
  • Act as the primary point of contact for external CPAs, tax advisors, legal counsel, and banking partners.
  • Prepare and organize comprehensive workpapers, schedules, and financial documentation required for state and federal tax filings.
  • Enforce robust internal controls, maintain regulatory compliance, and guarantee strict adherence to filing deadlines. Treasury & Cash Management
  • Actively monitor daily liquidity and cash positioning across all operational and investment accounts.
  • Build and update short- and long-term cash forecasting models to support operational demands and capital commitments.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
    Education:
    Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline. CPA license or Master's in Accounting (MAcc) is preferred, but not required.
      Experience:
      4 to 8+ years of progressive, hands-on accounting and financial management experience.
        Industry Background:
        Direct experience within a Family Office, Wealth Management firm, Real Estate holding company, or Public Accounting (CPA) firm managing multi-entity structures is strongly preferred.
          Technical Proficiency:
          Advanced expertise in QuickBooks (Desktop/Online) or Intuit Enterprise Suite; high proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, financial modeling); familiarity with modern spend management systems (e.g., Ramp, Brex, Bill.com) is a plus.
            Multi-Entity Accounting:
            Strong expertise in intercompany eliminations, partnership accounting structures, trust mechanics, and fund accounting principles.
