We are entering an exciting period of growth, with plans to grow our network by adding additional 4 schools over the next 4 years. Finance Partner | The Opportunity The Academies of Oklahoma seeks a forward-thinking Finance Partner to lead financial strategy during a period of expansion. Managing a nearly $10M budget, the Finance Partner will partner with the CEO and Board to fund and scale new schools, optimize systems, and ensure equitable resource allocation. Reporting to the CEO and serving as a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, the Finance Partner will lead a team of staff, including direct reports. This role requires a strategic leader who can build scalable financial infrastructure while maintaining disciplined stewardship during growth.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership & Growth Planning Lead multi-year financial planning for growth and expansion, including scenario modeling for new schools and programs. Secure and structure financing for new facilities and capital initiatives; manage relationships with lenders and bond counsel. Partner with the CEO and Board to ensure financial strategy aligns with mission and growth goals. Drive the development of a multi-year financial model that accounts for enrollment projections, funding changes, and capital needs. Financial Management & Systems Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning for expansion. Implement scalable financial systems and processes to support multi-site growth. Ensure compliance and sustainability across all operations; maintain clean audits. Manage debt portfolio and ensure compliance with covenants, cash-on-hand requirements, and reporting standards. Team Leadership Build and develop a high-performing finance team capable of supporting organizational growth. Foster cross-departmental collaboration with academic, operations, and talent teams. Promote financial acumen throughout the organization by training leaders and building shared accountability.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA preferred. 10+ years in financial leadership, with demonstrated experience leading growth or expansion initiatives. Proven success managing $20M+ budgets and securing financing for capital projects. Experience building scalable systems and leading teams through change. Commitment to equity, excellence, and mission-driven leadership.
